After an unproductive year in a village in Kayseri, the young people of the village are devastated. The two make plans and pursue Ceylan, but Ceylan grows close to Erkin, an agricultural engineer working to improve the village's irrigation system. The village's water system is resolved, Ceylan does not go to Germany, and she makes a permanent return to her homeland.
